July 10, 2009 July 10, 2009The United States Senate Appropriations Committee yesterday passed the Financial Services Appropriations Bill, which includes $697 million in funding for the Small Business Administration (SBA) and its core finance and counseling programs for small businesses. It is a more than $150 million increase from last year. Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Chair Mary Landrieu, D-La., who is also a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee's Financial Services Subcommittee, and Ranking Member Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine, worked with the Appropriations Committee to raise these funding levels. Full release. Posted by
