TechNet Urges Swift U.S. Senate Approval of FCC Nominees Julius Genachowski and Robert McDowell
June 15, 2009TechNet, the bipartisan political network of CEOs that promotes the growth of the innovation economy, today hailed the nominations of Julius Genachowski and Robert McDowell for seats on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and strongly urged the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee to approve their nominations. Mr. Genachowski has been nominated by President Obama for Chairman of the Commission and Mr. McDowell is being re-nominated for a post at the FCC he has held since 2006. Full release.
