U.S. Legal Counsel for Zack Shahin Ask U.S. Government to Urge an End to a U.S. Citizen's Unjust Detention in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
March 6, 2009U.S. legal counsel to Zack Shahin, an American citizen who was violently detained in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on March 23, 2008; tortured and held incommunicado from family and legal counsel for 16 days; and continues to remain unjustly imprisoned nearly a year after what was nothing less than a kidnapping, today asked the United States Government to urge an end to Shahin's detention. They issued the following statement, following a Dubai judge's decision to, once again, extend Shahin's detention for another 15 days. Full release.
