The Bipartisan Policy Center Congratulates Senator Tom Daschle
December 17, 2008he Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) commends Senator Tom Daschle on his selection as the Health and Human Services Secretary and director of the White House Office of Health Reform, a new position, in the incoming Obama-Biden Administration. In 2007, Senator Daschle joined with three other former Senate Majority Leaders Howard Baker, Bob Dole, and George Mitchell to create the BPC, an organization dedicated to finding common ground on some of the most pressing public policy challenges of our time.
