Republican National Committee: Friend Update Added to 'BarackBook'
October 13, 2008The Republican National Committee (RNC) today added a new friend update to its social networking Web site, http://www.BarackBook.com. The most recent friend update includes Barack Obama's notable association with Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley whose administration has been scandal-plagued. Daley, a third of whose campaign coffers is stocked with money from groups with city contracts, has endorsed Obama's presidential bid -- Obama returned the favor, endorsing Daley's mayoral campaign just two months after three of the mayor's top aides were given federal prison sentences for running the city's corrupt patronage machine.
