May 22, 2008The nation's mayors are putting forth their full support behind Senate Environment and Public Works Chairman Barbara Boxer's revised version of the pending Climate Security Act (S.2191), which will enable cities and the country to make systematic reductions nationwide in U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. While John McCain was campaigning and raising money in California today, the Senate voted on a bipartisan to bill to support our brave men and women in uniform by helping them pay for college when they complete their service. United States District Court Judge Marilyn H. Patel has ruled against the Small Business Administration (SBA) in a lawsuit filed under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by the American Small Business League. In the order, Patel gave the SBA two weeks to provide the ASBL with a complete list of the names of all firms that received federal small business contracts for fiscal years 2005 and 2006.
