The Texas Credit Union League Poll of Texas Primary Voters, released late today, shows that the Republican presidential primary race is in a statistical dead heat. In the Democratic presidential primary race, Clinton is ahead of Obama by a margin of eight points. Held less than the week before the start of early voting, pollsters questioned likely primary voters about top national and state issues, favorability rankings of state elected officials, and more, all broken out in terms of demographics including area of the state, income, ethnicity, and party affiliation. Since 1959, the Grammy Awards have included a category for the spoken word. Actors usually win this category, which is why Obama's win this year is noteworthy. The handful of politicians who were well-spoken enough to win a Grammy in the past have also found success in their political aspirations.
