The U.S. Department of Labor today announced a $15 million grant to provide employment-related assistance to youth in New Orleans as part of the ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts underway throughout Louisiana. By a vote of 206-226 the House of Representatives defeated an amendment offered by Representative Joseph Pitts (R-PA) to reinstate the "33 percent" abstinence-until-marriage earmark in the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
