Blunt: Democrats Vote to Tie Hands of Commanders in the Field
March 23, 2007House Republican Whip Roy Blunt (Mo.) issued the following statement this afternoon in reaction to House passage of the majority's accelerated schedule of troop retreat in Iraq:
"In voting to tie the hands of our commanders in the field, Democrats today voted themselves capable of managing the affairs of war -- not from the theatre of battle, but from the confines of their Capitol Hill offices more than 6,000 miles away." Full release
