PCMA: Cost of Drugstore Lobby's Agenda Tops $10 Billion
June 16, 2006"The cost of legislation currently before Congress implementing the drugstore lobby's special-interest agenda has reached at least $10 billion -- and is likely to go far higher once the final numbers are tallied, the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) said today. PCMA is the national association representing America's pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), which drive prescription drug costs lower for more than 200 million Americans with health coverage provided through Fortune 500 employers, health insurers, labor unions, and Medicare."
